Paesaggi Materici is a photographic research project carried out in preparation for the design of the Fossili lamp for Pimar. A close look at material, in search of horizons hidden at the manifold meeting points of tactility and texture. Following the light that gathers in infinite shades across the coarse surface of the matter and revealing the shadow that seeps, sinuous as water, over every irregularity. A study that seeks to probe the sensitive nature of materials for a deepened understanding of their essence and how they are perceived in a design idea dedicated to respecting and celebrating the profound truth of matter.
